Winston-Salem, N.C. - "Helping Hands," a group of Homestead Hills' members who meet twice a month to make items for charity, is celebrating February by making heart-shaped pillows for patients at Forsyth Hospital. The pillows are designed to help heart patients recovering from surgery. When those patients cough as a precaution after surgery, they can hold the pillow against their chest and reduce discomfort at the suture site. Helping Hands selects a different charity to help each month and has spawned the birth of a new group, "The Crafty Knitters," who will be knitting helmet liners for American soldiers stationed overseas.
